Booth B6.380, Power2Drive Europe | smarter E Europe, Messe München, Munich | 23-25 June 2026

Component innovations enabling slimmer, lighter chargers, microgenerators, and energy-storage systems

Hoofddorp, The Netherlands, 10 June 2026 – OMRON Electronic Components Europe will attend the smarter E Europe 2026, the alliance of exhibitions for the energy industry, demonstrating solutions to enable electrified lifestyles.

Visitors to the OMRON booth, B6.380 in the event’s Power2Drive Europe section, can see how the company’s latest AC and DC relays have evolved for emerging applications in high-energy systems. There will also be a new smart, connected weather sensor for IoT applications, and OMRON’s SiCMosfet family of silicon carbide (SiC) relays, capable of handling load voltages up to 3,300V.

Replacing contactors with PCB-mount AC and DC power relays can save size, weight, assembly costs, and coil power in equipment for energy storage, power conditioning, and vehicle charging. At Power2Drive Europe, OMRON will demonstrate the special design features of its innovative G9KA, G9KD, and G9KJ series relays that ensure safe isolation, long cycle life, and built-in fault detection.

The demonstrations will highlight AC and DC wallbox EV chargers, DC fast-charging systems, commercial and industrial energy storage systems, and solar microgenerators. The recently announced G9KJ compact relays are optimized for pre-charge actuation in DC charging systems up to 1,500V.

OMRON will team up with customers to present selected demonstrations at the booth, showing successful commercial wallbox designs. A further deep-dive demo will compare a 230A dual-contactor safety-isolation circuit with a functionally identical prototype comprising six G9KA 260A AC relays in a compact lightweight footprint. Alongside the practical displays, model-specific videos will showcase families including the G7EB, G9KC, G9KD, and G9KJ series.

The G9KA series includes relays rated up to 300A/1KV with an optional auxiliary contact for weld detection that conforms with IEC/EN60947-4-1specifications; the international safety and performance standard for electromechanical control gear. This auxiliary contact is also available in the G9KD high capacity 1,500V DC power relays.

Power2Drive Europe is part of the smarter E Europe alliance, being held at Messe München, Munich from June 23-25, 2026.
